This is the first shaped pan cake I ever made. It was a flower shaped pan and I thought it would be perfect for Rachel's first birthday. I can't tell you how afraid my family was to eat this cake. They thought there was a ton of icing on it. It really is quite deceiving how much is on there. Luckily everyone ate it and enjoyed it. :) Rachel seemed to love it and that was all that really mattered. However, once I had played with this cake - I was hooked. I would go on to make several character shaped pans for my children's birthdays later on.
